Last week, on 16 October, the opening conference of Project SSMW took place. During this annual event, the master’s students of SSMW present the charity they will support through fundraising. This year, the 161st promotion chose Stop Alzheimer. As a result, the director of the charity, Mr. Joost Martens, gave a presentation on the mission of Stop Alzheimer and the research projects they are currently funding. Afterwards, Professor Wim Annaert from KU Leuven provided an in-depth overview of Alzheimer’s disease. The conference concluded with a small reception.
